Ikea kept me busy

So I forgot again to blog last night. However, this time I did have a good excuse.

I had quite the busy day. Accepted the Ikea delivery, which thankfully, came only a half hour into the delivery window of time. I'd so much rather they deliver earlier rather than later because it frees up my day. So once they dropped of my stuff, I went to the gym and then met up with my friend Christina for lunch. We were thinking about seeing a movie, but couldn't agree on anything and then the times were off our schedule so she went home and I started walking back to mine. I stopped in West Elm to see if they had the little coffee tables I need for my apartment and ran into my friend Colin. We went for a few drinks and caught up. Then I went to the East Village to meet up with my cousins for dinner and by the time that was over I just wanted to come home and assemble my furniture, which I did. And by the time that was finished I just went to bed. My pride and joy is the new coffee table which is serving as a tv stand. The Strind. Love it.

But in keeping with the theme of these posts, the subject of my clean living was the topic of conversation at dinner with my cousins. I find it fascinating how interested people are in why I'm not drinking.  I don't mind talking about it because I never mind talking about myself, but I just don't grasp why the topic is so interesting to other people. I guess it's been long enough for me to get used to the idea and why I'm doing it, so for others to hear that it's been almost six months that I've gone without a drink - which does sound rather incredulous when you say it like that - I guess I can understand why people would want to ask me a few questions. I do tire of talking about it though. I'd just rather not be the focal point of the conversation.
