Fulfilling my promise

I'm amazed that there are people that want to blog everyday. Or post multiple things everyday. Goodness knows I was just sitting on my couch, unwinding from a long day and the last thing I felt like doing was writing a blog post. But I promised myself that I would write once a day for the month of August - the sixth month of my clean living.

And here I am. Today is Day 180. Technically it's been six months, but I won't consider ultimately official until the very end of the month. About one week from today. Right before I head out to Fire Island.

I had a date from OK Cupid tonight. It's my fourth date, otherwise known as a 'test drive', that I've had from that site. And the fourth test drive that does not warrant a follow up. It's the same as it usually is. I know within the first minute of meeting them whether or not I'd want to have get physically involved with them and from there it's all about personality. The "chemistry" of the whole thing. It's just not been there with any of the guys so far. Which is okay. I'm putting myself out there. That's the most I can do. Just keep trying and maybe one day something will catch.

It was a day off from the gym today. I'm glad I got to enjoy a bit of being outside, but I look forward to getting back in there tomorrow and hitting the weights hard. I would like a body like hottie model Derrick Davenport. I can dream...
