I may not have abs, six pack or four or even two
Or puffy pecs or bulging biceps or other muscles that pop
No one will ever remember me for my body
But that is okay, because I am good enough already.
I don’t make six figures, or run a company, a department or
even a team
Placed in front of a computer all day, under fluorescent
lights surrounded by stark white walls
I try to remember I am not defined by what I do to make a
living in this world
But that is okay, because I am good enough already.
I don’t have a partner, or lover or boyfriend
Relationships elude me, keep me single and searching for
love
I always seem to be wanting what others find so easily
But that is okay, because I am good enough already.
I have family
I have friends
I have health
I have life
I have art
I have music
I have laughter
I have love
Because of these things, I am good enough already.
