The Isle of Fire

Am currently sitting in the living room of my house share on Fire Island. Music is loudly playing over the house system. Some people are making dessert, others are trying to find a tryst via the internet, while even others are out on the front deck smoking. There are many people in the house. There is no rest for the weary here. It's probably my biggest problem with being at the house this summer. I'm not really part of the party after low tea. Everyone else is happily buzzing along and I'm just a bit more tired than I was a few hours before. By the time eleven or midnight come around, I usually just want to go to sleep. Most of the time the other members of the house have other plans. But it's okay. I can deal with being a big sleepy in the mornings. After all, I'm on the beach. It's all just rest and relaxation. I'll be okay.
My very cool celebrity sighting of the day was this afternoon when my friend Colin and I went to the Pantry (the Pines grocery store) to get some food and Cheyenne Jackson was there paying his groceries. He is truly just as gorgeous in person as he is on Glee/30 Rock/broadway shows. I  have seen him multiple times in the city, so it wasn't THAT big of a deal, but it always makes me happy to see him. He's beautiful and such a positive gay role model.
That photo shoot he did for OUT magazine, done in the Pines, is simply perfect. If the tickets to his show tomorrow evening at the Whyte Hall community center weren't so damn expensive, I'd go see him as something different to do on FI... but alas, at $150 bucks, I'd rather not spend the cash. Especially when I can see him for free in the grocery store. :)
